Knowing a patient’s Perioperative Risk Score for 30 Day Mortality and Major Adverse Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Events (MACCE) is better for the patient and the surgeon. Awareness of the patient’s mortality and MACCE risk allows for shared decision making between the patient and the surgeon and additional time to mitigate risk.
